Church is now Open

The Church is now open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on most days. Our Sunday service is normally at 11:15 a.m.

6th        Thursday           Berry Pomeroy Parish Council Meeting - Village Hall                     7:30 p.m. 

27th      Thursday           Church Cleaning - many hands make light work.                            9:30 to 11 a.m

27th      Thursday           Library Van - Berry Pomeroy Village Square                                  1:30 to 1:45 p.m.

29th      Saturday            Berry Pomeroy School Summer Fair                                               2;30 p.m.   

July 2019

6th         Saturday         Berry Pomeroy Church Fete - Manor House Garden                          2:30 p.m.
                                      This is the main fund-raising event for our Church. It is a 
                                      traditional country fete with folk music, dancing, cream teas,
                                      games and stalls. New ideas, helpers stalls etc. welcome.
                                      Help needed to setup/run stalls, serve teas etc.
                                        Especially needed are:

Teas: (Margaret Gambie) Sausage rolls/savouries. Scones. Cakes and tray-bakes for slicing.

Hamper Draw: (Joy Lawrence) New items for compiling into prize hampers e.g. grocery items, toiletries etc. Please bring donations to Church by Sunday 23rd June so hampers can be made ready for the FeteBottle Tombola: (David BoughtonUnopened bottles of any description! (I Keep Cottages. B.P. 865635)Bric-a-brac: (Phil & Loveday Densham) Good, second-hand items and toys (NOT clothes)

Handicrafts: (Kris Mindang) Craft items, jewellery, cards etc

Books: (Mark Lewis) Adult and children’s hardback and paperback fiction and non-fiction booksPlants: (Tony Roberts) Please label with plant name if possible

Cake stall: (Janet Gagg) Please wrap cakes, buns, flapjacks etc. ready for selling.“Smashing-crockery(Trevor Gambie) Chipped/cracked/broken/unwanted crockery

Volunteers are needed to serve teas and help with other stalls and games.

Helpers also needed, please, to get out furniture on Friday 5th July at 10am and/or set up on Saturday 6thJuly from 10am to midday and/or to clear away after the Fete (meet in Manor House garden)

Every  Monday - Church Bell-ringing.
Church bell-ringing practice takes place every Monday from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
All welcome to come and see bell-ringing in action.

Every Thursday Afternoon - Hand-bell Ringing

The ringers meet in the Church on Thursday afternoons at 2:30 to 4 p.m. They are always looking for more ringers and you will be most welcome to come along and try out the bells. Hand-bell ringing experience is not necessary, but some musical experience would be an advantage. Contact Nichola Boughton on 01803 865635.
